로마서 10:5-10 :: 믿음은 율법의 완성을 추구한다 Romans 10:5-10

--- Romans 10:5-10 says ---

Moses describes in this way the righteousness that is by the law: "The man who does these things will live by them."

But the righteousness that is by faith says: "Do not say in your heart, 'Who will ascend into heaven?'" (that is, to bring Christ down)

"or 'Who will descend into the deep?'" (that is, to bring Christ up from the dead).

But what does it say? "The word is near you; it is in your mouth and in your heart," that is, the word of faith we are proclaiming:

That if you confess with your mouth, "Jesus is Lord," and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.

For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved.

This passage is very difficult to understand. However, if you found the subject sentence, you could understand clearly. What's it? It is verse 8.

"But what does it say? "The word is near you; it is in your mouth and in your heart," that is, the word of faith we are proclaiming:" 

This verse is explaining what the writer(paul) wants to say. Paul didn't deny the law of God Moses described. On the contrary, he is talking about the strongest righteousness. That's come from the strongest motivations. In --- Romans 10:5-10 says ---

This verse is explaining what the writer(Paul) wants to say. Paul didn't deny the law of God Moses described. On the contrary, he is talking about the strongest righteousness. That's come from the strongest motivations. In the Old Testament, even God said that you'll be blessed if you submit to God's law but Israelite didn't fulfill the law of God. So, God sent His one and only son to us to make us follow God practically.  Jesus died on the cross as the other righteous men did. But!  He is raised up by God.  Before His resurrection, even Paul didn't believe that through the greatest law of God; Love one another he can be blessed. That's why he killed Christians spreading Good news. 

You can ask me that what does verse 4 mean? 

"Christ is the end of the law so that there may be righteousness for everyone who believes."

Verse 4 has to be interpreted with what Jesus mentioned about the law of God.

Matthew 5:17 ""Do not think that I have come to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I have not come to abolish them but to fulfill them."

You need to avoid interpret verse 4 that Jesus deny the law of God. Jesus came here to fulfill the law of God. 

Jesus died but He won Satan. Jesus proved that the law of God is the stronger than the law of Satan persuading people that only money, power and sex will give you more fantastic life. Keep on believing what Jesus taught you. Love one another! Jesus will be the intercessor to help you. Psychologically you will do what you believe. According to the common knowledge of psychology, you're already a believer when you practice the law of God but you're not one when you still beg salvation to God. Go further and more to share the gospel, the love of God as you believe in Jesus Christ.

모세는 사람이 율법을 통해서 하느님과 올바른 관계를 가질 수 있다고 하면서 "율법을 지키는 사람은 그것을 지킴으로써 생명을 얻는다."고 기록하였습니다.

그러나 믿음을 통해서 얻는 하느님과의 올바른 관계에 대해서는 하느님께서 "누가 저 높은 하늘까지 올라갈까 하고 속으로 걱정하지 마라." 하고 말씀하십니다. 이 말씀은 그리스도를 모셔 내리기 위해서 하늘까지 올라갈 필요는 없다는 말씀입니다.

또 하느님께서 "누가 저 깊은 땅 속까지 내려갈까 하고 걱정하지 마라." 하십니다. 이 말씀은 그리스도를 죽음의 세계에서 모셔 올리기 위하여 땅 속까지 내려갈 필요는 없다는 말씀입니다.

하느님께서 "말씀은 네 바로 곁에 있고 네 입에 있고 네 마음에 있다." 하셨는데 이것은 우리가 전파하는 믿음의 말씀을 가리켜 하신 말씀입니다.

예수는 주님이시라고 입으로 고백하고 또 하느님께서 예수를 죽은 자들 가운데서 다시 살리셨다는 것을 마음으로 믿는 사람은 구원을 받을 것입니다.

곧 마음으로 믿어서 하느님과 올바른 관계에 놓이게 되고 입으로 고백하여 구원을 얻게 됩니다.

이 말씀은 이해하기 어렵습니다. 하지만 주제문을 찾으면 잘 이해하게 됩니다. 주제문은 뭘까요? 8절입니다.

"하느님께서 "말씀은 네 바로 곁에 있고 네 입에 있고 네 마음에 있다." 하셨는데 이것은 우리가 전파하는 믿음의 말씀을 가리켜 하신 말씀입니다."

이 절은 저자(바울) 말하고자 하는 바를 설명하고 있습니다. 바울은 모세가 말한 하나님의 법을 거부하지 않았습니다. 반면에 가장 강한 의에 대해서 말하고 있습니다. 그것은 가장 강한 동기에서 오는 것이죠. 구약에서 하나님께서 그의 법에 순종하면 복을 받을 것이라 했음에도 불구하고  이스라엘인들은 하나님의 법을 이루려하지 않습니다. 그래서 하나님은 자기의 독생자 예수를 우리에게 보내어 우리로 하여금 하나님의 법을 실제적으로 따르게 하시죠. 예수는 다른 의인들이 그러했듯이 십자가에서 죽었습니다. 그러나! 그는 하나님의 의해 살아났습니다. 예수의 부활 이전에 심지어 바울도 하나님의 법 즉 이웃사랑을 통해 자신이 복을 받으리라는 것이라고 믿지 않았습니다. 그래서 복음을 전하는 사람들을 죽였던 거죠. 

4절은 뭐냐고 물을 수 있습니다. 

"그리스도께서 나타나심으로 율법은 끝이 났고 그를 믿는 사람은 누구든지 하느님과 올바른 관계를 가지게 되었습니다."

4절은 예수님의 하신 말씀과 비교해서 읽어야 합니다. 

마태복음 5장 17절 "내가 율법이나 선지자나 폐하러 온 줄로 생각지 말라 폐하러 온 것이 아니요 완전케 하려 함이로라"(개역한글)

예수님이 율법을 부인한다는 말로 읽지 말아야 합니다. 예수님은 율법을 완성케 하려 오셨습니다.

예수는 죽었지만 사탄을 이겼습니다. 예수는 하나님의 법이 사람들로 하여금 돈과 권력과 성이 좀 더 환상적인 삶을 제공할 것이라고 믿게하는 사탄의 법도보다 강하다는 것을 증명했습니다. 예수가 당신에게 가르친 것을 계속 믿으십시오. 이웃을 사랑하십시오! 예수는 당신을 돕기 위한 중보자가 되실 것입니다. 심리학적으로 당신은 믿는 바를 행하게 됩니다. 이 심리학의 기본적인 지식에 따르면 당신이 하나님의 법을 행할 때 당신은 이미 신자이지만 여전히 구원만 구걸할 때 신자가 아닙니다. 당신이 예수 그리스도를 믿게 되는대로 복음 그 하나님의 사랑을 전하기 위해 더 멀리 가십시오.
