Restoration of Light Day(Korean Historical Day)

Story:

August 15, today is very important and historical day to Koreans. 67 years ago, in 1945, we got our freedom back from Japan. Won the war versus China and Russia, Japan conquered Korea for 40 years. Japanese militarism destroyed all things we had before. Please, read this article to help your understand of the history.

Background

In the late 19th and early 20th century, various Western European countries actively competed for influence, trade, goods, and territory in East Asia; the Empire of Japan sought to join these modern colonial powers. The newly modernised Meiji government of Japan turned to Korea, then in the sphere of influence of China's Qing Dynasty. The Japanese government initially sought to separate Korea from Qing and make Korea a Japanese satellite in order to further the country's security and Korean interests.

In January 1876, following the Meiji Restoration, Japan employed gunboat diplomacy to pressure Korea to sign the Treaty of Ganghwa, an unequal treaty, which opened three Korean ports to Japanese trade and granted extraterritorial rights to Japanese citizens. The rights granted to Japan under the treaty were similar to those granted western powers in Japan following the visit of Commodore Perry in 1854.

During Olypic games, Japanese gymnastics uniform brought a argument up. Because it was designed from "Rising Sun Flag" Japanese Navy used it when they conquer Asian contries. You can check the mean of it.

German people don't use the Flag of Nazi symbolized Gemany's past militarism. Because they don't want to hurt other countries more.

Germany also apologized and are apologizing constantly. German presidents and senators always visit shrine of vitims Germany killed when they are appointed. But Japanese senators like to visit to Yasukuni, the shrine of god of war and died soldiers who fought for Empire of Japan. The shrine is widely viewed as a symbol of Japan`s past militarism.

I wish peacful world so I won't forget those bad history. Japan soldiers made asian women as theire sex slaves and killed many people even babies. I won't revenge to them. But I hope they apologized to victims and didn't repeat the sad history in Asia. However, Japan longs to make a lot of territorial disputes against South Korean, Russia, China, Taiwan. They have never stop to desire other's territories. Stop it! It's time to make a peace for each other. Learn more from you history. Don't forget anything you and your ancients experienced. Make it clear and teach your children about history of sin. And do something for your peaceful future with love, without anger.
